Anurangi Mendis is a Chartered Architect practicing in Sri Lanka.
She graduated from the City School of Architecture and received the Associate Membership of the Sri Lanka Institute of Architects in 2012 along with the Award of Excellence for the Best overall performance of the year.
During her professional training, Anurangi was mentored by eminent Lankan architects: Hirante Welandawe and Shayan Kumaradas, later becoming an associate of Shayan Kumaradas Chartered Architects. There, she acquired a strong background in residential projects, mixed use schemes as well as community projects following a tropical geometric aesthetic in harmony with its surroundings.
In 2014 she joined the faculty of the City school of Architecture as a permanent Lecturer and Program Coordinator while also establishing her own practice. She now balances her life as a practitioner and academic, striving to find meaningful solutions through an intensely people-centric approach to architecture and design.
