Swini Fernando

HND in Business Administration Cardiff Metropolitan University.
Swini Fernando graduates as an Interior designer in 2020 under the University of Northumbria. She is the Star award winner of the Loong furniture design competition 2020 under the commercial furniture category. She holds the Chinese Patent for the ‘Dovetail’ furniture piece.
She has an experience of three years (2017-2019) from working as the Assistant creative Director and project manager at the family business - “Suwiney’s workshop” which has a legacy of 30 years.
Swini interned at Canvas Design studio in the year 2019 and contributed to grand renovation projects such as, SSC Colombo, and World Trade Center Rooftop renovation project.
In the year 2020 Swini started working at DXMID and functioned as a designer of an innovative Maternity clinic in China.
Swini is an up-coming designer that continues to explore different dimensions of the design industry such as, Product design, Product development, Visualizing, Material development, etc.
